Families with Chinese Children
FCC is a nondenominational organization of families who have adopted children
from China. The purpose of FCC is provide a network of support for families
who've adopted in China and to provide information to prospective parents.
The purpose of this site is to consolidate the information that has been
put together by the families of FCC, in order to make it easier for future
parents to consider adopting from China. We also try to provide pointers
to other adoption and China related resources available on the Web. Go to

Gainesville
- We are a not-for-profit, organization dedicated to bringing children from China! We are committed to serving them and their families by providing opportunities for fun and cultural education. Located in Gainesville, Florida, this FCC group is open to anyone regardless of race, creed, religious background, marital status, etc., especially those living in the north-central Florida region. Jacksonville:
- First Coast FCC is the local chapter of Families with Children from China devoted to working with both the children and parents involved in adoption from China from the greater Jacksonville area. We provide socialization with other children adopted from China, support their unique issues as they grow and cultural information and education by offering a bi-weekly China culture class that teaches language and culture to preschoolers, regular play groups and special events to celebrate Chinese holidays and festivals. To support parents and prospective parents, we sponsor regular support-group meetings to discuss the issues surrounding international adoption. Pre-adoption support for those considering adoption from China is also available. In addition, we meet monthly for a Chinese dinner to meet new prospective families, celebrate new arrivals and referrals and to renew our friendships. Families with Asian Children was proud to include almost 80 adopted Chinese
Children in our community. We hold many events including a monthly potluck
dinner, monthly in-waiting support groups, and other family get togethers.
We are a tight knit community who strongly support the adoption community
including those who are interested in adoption and those who are in the
process of adopting. Our group also includes families who have, or are,
adopting from Korea, India and Viet Nam.
