Amelia, Rollie, Kathryn, and Elizabeth Mowery
Amelia and Rollie Mowery adopted Kathryn on April 15, 2002 from Chongqing
(Group 355). In China, Kathryn came to them perfect - she was alert and
delightful. She was withdrawn the first couple of days but that went away
soon. Now, Kathryn’s personality brightens up the room! She is a beautiful
and happy four-year old child.
They adopted Elizabeth on May 31, 2004 from Chongqing (Group 612). At the
time of adoption, Elizabeth, who was 13 ½ months, was sad and withdrawn.
She had a hard transition. After six to eight months, she has figured out
how to communicate and is now a happy, sweet, cuddly child!
Amelia and Rollie are currently in the process for the third time. They
said, “If CCAI wasn’t so great, we wouldn’t have gone
back the second time and certainly not a third time. The care we got in
China was the best. CCAI does a good job holding our hands thorough the
process.”
